Human Resource/ Relations Coordinator







Reports to: Executive Director 


Position Summary: In this position, you will be assisting in handling human resource issues, insuring the smoother function on the staff, updating the policies, procedures and manuals as required by legislation and board of directors. Along with the smooth functioning of human resources you will maintain human relations between volunteers, donors and the general public.



  • Development of job descriptions and contract employment outlines
  • Recruitment of employees
  • Screening job candidates
  • Conducting interviews
  • Perform background checks
  • Oversee hiring process
  • Providing orientation to new employees
  • Development of amended policies, procedures and operation manuals
  • Benefit administration
  • Prepare and update employee records
  • Ensuring workplace is running efficiently
  • Address any employee relation issues


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Volunteer recruitment, Foster parent recruitment
  • Maintain major donor relationships



  • University or college graduate who has graduated within the last three years from an accredited college or university.  The candidate must be a graduate of a post-secondary degree or diploma program.  The position will be a first full-time employment in the candidate’s field of study.



  • Must be in or have completed the Business Administration – Human Resource program or equivalent
