Foster Parents Program
If you have space in your home for a special needs animal but aren’t able to adopt, the foster parents plan may be for you. This is a wonderful volunteer opportunity in your own home. By fostering an animal that is not ready to be adopted or that may not be adjusting well to life in the shelter, you provide them with a chance to prepare for their forever home.
As a foster parent you provide a space in your home and care.
The Humane Society provides the rest – food, supplies and veterinary care.
Animals that may require foster care include:
– Mothers and Babies (Felines & Canines)
– Orphaned kittens
– Felines or Canines with injuries that need to heal in a home setting
– Canines or Felines that need rehabilitation
– Felines or Canines that just need a break from shelter life
