Lost & Found Animals
TBDHS STRAY HOLD POLICY:
Our shelter strives to reunite owners with their lost pets. When we receive a stray animal, a photo is listed on our social media platforms as well as our website. If you are missing an animal, please call the shelter immediately at (807) 475-8803 to provide a description. You can also email info@tbdhs.ca or message our Facebook or Instagram page.
All animals are held for three days. If an animal is unclaimed, the TBDHS is then granted full ownership of the animal to be placed for adoption. Once an animal is adopted out, it cannot be reclaimed.
If your pet is a “frequent flyer” we strongly encourage having them microchipped. If your pet is microchipped – please ensure the owner registration is up to date.
If you have any questions regarding our stray hold, please contact our shelter directly.
